We’ve seen a couple of “phishing” sites since we launched the crowdsale. (What is phishing?) These are attempts to imitate our website, using addresses that look like our official website address, and trying to trick users into sending funds to attackers.

We’re dealing with these sites as they pop up, but we want to give you some tips for how to defend yourself against phishing:

Be careful about following links

The official link to our website is https://www.zenprotocol.com/ and the link to our crowdsale is https://crowdsale.zenprotocol.com/. Be very cautious about following links to our website from unofficial sources, such as Facebook posts, Telegram groups or Twitter.

Use official channels

Official channels, apart from our website, are this blog, our Twitter account, and our Telegram group. In our Telegram group, look for posters with the “admin” tag.

Our crowdsale method

We posted a video tutorial about how to use our crowdsale client. You may wish to familiarise yourself with how our crowdsale app works, before using our website. The only payment method is Bitcoin: any site asking for Ether is trying to defraud you!

Thanks for your patience as we take action against these deceptive sites. We’ll continue to post security updates as the crowdsale progresses.
